ISRAEL — February 2008 — Yitran Communications,
Ltd., a leading provider of PLC (Power Line
Communication) technology, will exhibit at
will exhibit at CeBIT 2008
in Hannover, Germany on March 4-9, 2008.
Yitran will be located in
Hall 13, Stand number B56 as part of the HomePlug
Pavilion where it will present its patented IT800 IC
technology and a preview of their new IT700 IC,
which will lower cost and foot print by 50%. Yitran
will also feature HomePlug Command and Control (HomePlug
C&C) V1.0, an industry standard based on Yitran’s
IT800 transceiver technology.
The HomePlug C&C V1.0
work
group have ratified the PHY and MAC layer and
completed work on the network layer. Their work
continues with the profiles and session layer as
well as a final submission for the compliance
testing and interoperability program.
HomePlug C&C has four key areas of impact: power
management solutions to save money and conserve
energy; remote monitoring and control that delivers
convenience through remote accessibility; safety and
security features to protect from fire, theft and
natural hazards; and healthcare monitoring solutions
to save lives and bring peace of mind. Energy
efficiency applications such as networking
thermostats in homes and demand control, remotely
managing high power appliances, will assure a more
environmentally friendly future.
The HomePlug C&C standard is
Green Tech enabled, offering communication and
networking for a nearly unlimited variety of command
and control applications including Automated Meter
Reading and Management (AMR/AMM/AMI) as well as
other Smart Grid applications such as Peak Demand
