Y-NET+ is Yitran’s RF-PLC dual network platform; the ideal solution for systems that combine mains powered devices with battery operated and/or Wireless devices. Such devices include gas meters, water meters, sensors and more.
The Y-NET+ platform enhances the applicability of Smart Grid/Energy Management by extending the reach to other ulitity meters in the same infrastructure, requiring only one concentrator for AMR/AMM/AMI.
Yitran’s Y-NET+ solution is an extension of the Y-Net Network Layer protocol, where the RF modem is a sub 1G transceiver. The solution can be extended to other RF transceivers and extends end device battery life to more than 10 years.
Customers who are currently using Y-Net can easily upgrade to Y-NET+. The PLC module is based on Yitran’s IT700 (DLL+PHY) and is designed to be a HomePlug Command & Control ready modem.
