DCSK (Differential Code Shift Keying)
The DCSK patented modulation technique (US patent #6,064,695) reaches superb
reliability over noisy power lines. Implementation of DCSK in Yitran's IT800 ICs,
provides a cost-effective robust solution for applications such as home
automation, control and AMR (Automatic Meter Reading).
Traditional low speed PLC (Power Line Carrier) solutions illustrate the long
standing demand for device control over power line, but have been severely
limited by their throughput, reliability and scalability. Such solutions are not
reliable enough for many of today's demanding PLC applications. Yitran’s patented
technology significantly surpasses the performance of compatible modems at the
same or lower total solution cost.
Competing power line modems, using other modulation techniques cannot reach
the speed and reliability of DCSK, even through integration of DSPs and other
expensive means.
